Robert Ballard is a Bokeelia native and a 5 th  generation Floridian.  Since returning to Florida in 2000, he has been involved in Pine Island activities, particularly the Calusa Land Trust where he currently serves as Chief Land Steward.  He is a sought-after speaker on Lee County and Pine Island history and has given many presentations regionally including to the Museum of the Islands, the Friends of the Pine Island Library, the Pine Island Garden Club, the SWFL Historical Society, the Fort Myers BeachHistorical Society, and others.
